Inscription to previous owner on front endpaper dated 1964. Binding sound. 138pp. Eight colour plates and 64 b/w illustrations. This book gives an account of the history of Hungarian peasant embroidery, regional characteristics and techniques. There are sections on linen embroidery, cut-thread work with satin stitch, and counted-thread work.
