By: Cornforth, John (intro.)

Price: £30.00

Hardcover with glassine jacket. Condition: Very good, with very light shelfwear to covers and a hint of sunning to edges of text. The glassine jacket is in good condition, with some light wrinkling and soiling and a couple of small tears. Loosely laid in is a sheet of the prices achieved in the sale. 361pp. Many colour illustrations. This 147 item catalogue included some spectacular items, and the sale set a record for an English country house dispersal, It was also notorious for the dispute over the authenticity of lot 56, a pair of Louis XV porphyry and gilt-bronze two-handled vases attributed to Ennemond-Alexandre Petitot. This catalogue is heavy, and will require extra postage if to be sent outside UK. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall
